When put in reverse, does that complete the hot or ground circuit for the backup lights? The ones in the tinted taillights are useless, so I am adding 2 4" flood lights to the back of the bed and want to tie them in to come on when in reverse.
Simple I know but haven't messed with Dodge truck wiring in quite a few years.
Thanks.

Makes no sense for them to be hot at all times and only grounded (on) when you put it in reverse

Without even looking, I'd say they only turn hot when you shift it in reverse

Get a meter and find out. Shouldn't be too hard to do.
