I am due on replacing the shocks on my 11 Ram since there shot. I been looking to see what brands are recommended by fellow ram owners. My truck is stock height 2wd on 24"s, I've been looking at these new shocks that belltech offers for stock height trucks, has any one used these. Part# 9637.

On my past rides I haven't had good luck with the monroes, i here a lot of bilstein shocks.

What would you recommend

How about OEM ones? I used the BT shocks with my 2/4 drop on the front, and had issues...so put stocks back on, rode better.

You can always get bilstein adjustable ones..and just leave them as is, and don't adjust the c clip on them. You will get a nice stiffer ride with them too.

Just an idea. When people get bilstein, first though is either in a lift application, or a leveling situation...but you can leave them factory settings too...which is nice.

Just went through this. The bilstein adjustable won't work on the front of a 2wd according to bilstein.

I'm problay going to go with the bilstein non- adjustable

but arent those Belltechs for lowered trucks?

Bilstein 4600 shocks. I will never buy another brand of shock again.

Front: Part Number: 24-187480

Rear: Part Number: 24-187510

Amazon.com: Belltech 9637 Street Performance Shock Absorber Set: Automotive

The belltech shocks 9637 according to there site are for stock height vehicles, but I wonder if they would have the same issue as they do with the drop ones fitting in front.

I had to take mine off, at home sitting ion a box if someone needs a set :)

How was the fitment, ride quality? If you don't mind me asking how come you took them off?

Really a nice ride.

I will still probably go with the 4600s. I know Bilsteins make some good stuff.
Those belltechs are a good price though.

My truck seems to be making knocking noises when I hit bumps. Sounds like its coming from the shocks. Plus the trucks shimmys a little bit, might have something to do with my 22s but I think it's the shocks.

How interesting my truck does the same thing and shakes bad once I'm over 70+mph it does it with my 20s and 24s. it seems to shake more now since my front shocks are shot and alignment is off. I wonder if bad shocks would cause these trucks to shake since there more sensible because of the spring design.

The shake is probably the tires need to be balanced. These trucks are picky about that.

My noise sounds like a thud, almost like the shock is bottoming out.
