When the fabulous Goodyear wear out early what tires did you go with and do you like them?
I have less than 25k on mine and looks like I might need new ones before winter. Fine for summer but don't want to push it for winter. 2017 long horn 20in

I changed my tires out at 2300miles on the truck. ********** the Goodyears and went with Nitto Terra Grappler G2s. XL rated and AT tread pattern, 65k mileage warranty.

If I was to do it again, I probably would have gone with the General HTS60's. Same warranty and XL rating except higher than the Nittos.

You will get a ton of opinions :) ,Here is mine !
1: Depends on your driving style , do you off road ? Or a street cruiser like mine :)
if a lot of off road you want 10 ply, but a street queen you can go 4 ply !
I liked the GY SRA's but that's me
Buy what you can afford and read reviews online as well
You will get some great recommendations here from people who use the tire they talk about !
I got a great deal on Good Year AT/S tires (basically a OEM GM tire) And so far love them. Will see how they are soon when it snows :O

You really need to decide if you want a street tire or all terrain first. Then ask for suggestions from there.

I had to replace my Good year SRAs just over a week ago due to a nail. They had 31k on them and probably could have got another 5-7k out if them but was beginning to lose confidence in them, so replacement was the way to go.

I had decided that I want a mild AT and was actually planning to go with the Continental Terrain Contact because of the rave review my dad has for them. Unfortunately Discount Tire couldn't get them in the store the same day and I was leaving for a camping trip that evening so I went with their Pathfinder AT. They are about $60 cheaper per tire and they have a 55k mile warranty.

500 miles in with highway and city and I am pleasantly surprised in how quite and smooth riding they are.

Again, I was looking for a mild AT. They are comparable to the Nitto Terra Grappler for a lot less. Made by Hankook and sold exclusively by Discount.

That’s a vague question to ask. Way to many variables: Are you lifted/leveled, are you looking for street/highway tires, what rims do you have (stock/aftermarket), what size are you looking at, etc.... if this is going to be another highway/street/AT tire thread, where you are concerned about MPG then use the search feature, as there are a ton of recent threads on that. Should find all the info you want.

Boy, you’re not going to get 50 different opinions and suggestions on a general question like this ...

Motor oil, tires, fuel octane... :D:D

Best contribution I can make here is to think objectively about what you're really going to do with the machine and shop accordingly - not just on how mean the tread pattern looks.

Continental TerrainContact have been solid all-arounders for me so if you need a vote that's mine.

Ever since Discount tires came to town I have done business with them on 3 different rides. They have been great to work with and have many options and price ranges.

Tire Rack is a wealth of info and reviews ...

Start from Tire Rack using their selection app to see your choices depending on your need. I personally like Continental Terrain Contact on my truck. Nitto Terra Grappler is another choice as well, my buddy is on second set along with new rails and poison spyder jeep bumper plus a couple of new LED light bars. Works great on road, off road and snow.

Did you check to see if Goodyear will warranty any portion of the tires? I did and they replaced two at 20K and we split the second pair at 25K. Could be worth a look.

A good all around smooth running tire is the Michellan Agilis. My 17 3500 came with Nexans and I couldn’t get them balanced with multiple attempts. Got rid of them after 13000 miles and put on the Agilis. Now the truck rides smoothly at highway speeds.

I replaced mine at 28k with Nokian Rotiivas. Had them on my last RAM and loved them.
