So I know it has been discussed about replacing the comfort buttons in the dash with AUX button.. But I want to do the opposite. I have the AUX buttons with the factory upfitter kit I can change settings with through my dash. I want to replace those AUX buttons with the factory comfort buttons and have them control the seats and steering wheel. I would then like to relocate the AUX buttons and use aftermarket buttons to be able to control the AUX upfitter. Anybody have any insight into this?

Well, you can almost certainly get a switch panel with the seat/wheel buttons (plus whatever else you have on it). Just ask Benny in the AllMoparParts forum here to look up the part number for you and order it up. Not sure about controlling the upfitter system with aftermarket switches though. They are physically momentary switches, the truck's computer then knows if you have each set as momentarily or latching and commands the upfitter module accordingly. They are ground side switches, keep that in mind.

I figured the comfort switches wouldn't be a problem at all. The real question comes in the upfitter switches...

There have been a number of people who have set things up to control standard relays with the OEM switch panel, but you're the first I've seen wanting to go the other way. :) Those other threads would probably be a good basis though, they explain a lot about how the OEM switches work.

Hi, did you manage to replace the AUX buttons with with the comfort buttons? I'm interested in doing the same thing. I don't mind losing the AUX buttons for now as I have no use for them.

I did this with my 18 2500. I bought it as a certified pre-owned and it had the Aux buttons from the factory. None of them were wired to anything, so they were kind of useless. I have no need for them either. It was a simple swap, just had to find the PN for exactly the switch block I wanted, with the seat heat/cool and steering wheel heat. It was plug and play.

I got the PN and part from member AllMoparParts.com here.
