A couple years back, I picked up my 03 Ram 1500 4.7L with a dropped seat in the Pass side head.
I replaced it with just a junkyard head off an 02 4.7L and it was fine.
Well that got me another 40,000 miles before that head cracked too a week ago.
I'm going to order a worked over head this time, and I can provide them with a casting number.
Is this a common issue with certain casting numbers? Is there a casting number that's better that I can give them?
