I recently purchased a 2025 Ram Limited (1500) that came equipped with Ram boxes and a soft tonneau cover. I am trying to replace the factory cover with an MX4 Bakflip. I am being told that i have to buy mopar cargo rails to install the MX4 because apparently the mounting system and rails for the factory tonneau cover are not compatible. Has anyone heard of this or had these issues? The cargo rails are about 200 each and are currently out of stock. Any help would be appreciated

You need the silver rails. The rails inside the bed work with the factory cover only. If you sell the cover, include the original rails with it.
This ^^^
... I had to get the silver cargo rails vs black ones that came on my 22 limited to install my hard rolling cover to it ... (Not sure exactly what the difference is between the two, but that's what the directions said were needed).

Does anybody know where I can find these rails?? I managed to find the left hand side, but nobody has the right side (PN 68027048AE). If not, where would be the best place to get the part on backorder?

Yes, you must replace the black rails with the silver ones if you're going with any other cover than the factory soft one.
Replacement rails are available, but they won't be cheap.

Correct you need the OEM rails. We do not offer OEM parts but we can help with the bed cover. If you would like a quote, send me a message.
