So my truck is starting to run hotter and hotter than usual (never ran hot up to red line) so I looked up how to replace the thermostat but I need a little assistance. Will I need to drain the whole radiator? What are all requirements to changing the thermostat?

You’ll need to drain the radiator, not necessarily all the way but you should just to make sure there’s not a lot of dirt in your coolant, your coolant could be contaminated and not flowing through the cooling system properly, make sure there’s no leaks as well, you may not even have to replace the thermostat you never know. Hope this helps

I just unbolted the housing and popped out the old and very quickly popped in the new, bolted it down and rolled away with only ounces of coolant loss.
