I was always a Ram guy, but at my last job, half the company was running Toyotas, and I succumbed to the peer pressure to give the so called reliable company a shot. In case you were wondering how it went, I have had the truck for 2.5 years, and am eagerly going back to Ram. I was shocked to see the 2025's don't offer V8's anymore though. Stay away from Toyota though. The old guard of truck they used to be, is gone. I have had no less than 4 major safety recalls, on top of several ongoing issues that the dealerships can't even get the parts to repair/fix under recall or tsb. Hugely disappointing. But we have an appointment for Saturday to trade it in for a 25 1500 Laramie. Excited to get back to RAM

Buy a 24 with the 5.7. Or wait until 26 when the 5.7 and 6.4 come back. The 3.6 has some issues and if you want the risk then go for the 25.

I was really shocked at the drop in quality on the latest Gen Toyota. They look great, and their 4x4 drivetrain is quality, but the massive volume of serious recalls, as well as the little ones that were well documented but Toyota responded poorly was disappointing.

I just bought another Toyota Highlander XSE and love it, 64 here and have had a Toyota in my driveway since I was 16.
True, they have gone away from the 6cyl, but that new 4cyl turbo is still ~300hp/~300ftlbs of torque and plenty fast and quick. I agree some aren't thrilled with the new styling, but that's change. Ram should have never gotten rid of the cross-hair grill either, but here we are. lol

Bought the 2022 Ram Classic and could not be happier. I came from a low miles 09 Tundra, the one and only I have ever bought and inherited all the problems that come with them. The ear splitting drone finally drove me away.

I don't care about engine size. What makes a company great, what makes the product great is if you are producing the best technology, and the I6 I just bought, has more HP, torque, and towing capacity than the 5.7 I had, and the Toyota I just replaced.
My issue with Toyota is the sharp dive in quality, and quality control. My experience with it was disappointing. Some guys will still swear by it, but thats nothing new. To each his own.

I've had a 2012 Tundra 5.7 4x4 and a 2023 last gen Tacoma 4x4. I really wanted to like the Tacoma V6, but that little truck beat me up for a year and had to get into a bigger truck. Wanted to get back into a Tundra, but why? The end of the 5.7s in those came in 2021, and you cant touch a low miles Tundra Crew Cab 4x4 for less than $42 k. Nope. I am so happy to be back in a Mopar ma-cheen.
First car was a 67 Barracuda, Second was a 66 Coronet convertible, Third was a '73 Charger. Yeah...I'm close to being old as dirt.

I'm on my 4th 4-runner in 25 years, a 2023vbuilt and assembled in Japan. Great vehicles. Looking to replace my '17 1500 big horn I considered the 2024 Ram vs the Tundra. Quality of US assembly/workmanship on the Tundra just did not measure up so I went with a Limited Ram. No regrets.
