Fellas ,

I was looking around online and I’m getting different answers.

Which way does the tapered end of the bump stop go at the top of the strut?

Does the tapered end face down towards the body of the front strut? Or is it the other way (tapered end facing upward)

I have new KYB upper mounts, dust shield and rubber bump stops.

Thanks for any help!IMG_6272.jpeg

Thanks for the photo.

I have a spring compression tool. I’m going to start Wednesday. I ordered a special socket with an open bypass to hold the top post while tightening the nut. That arrives Wednesday.

I have to just make sure I get the alignment correct between the top mount and the bottom strut bolt.

Any tips or tricks on this?

Thanks

quickshifter would be able to answer that in his sleep haaaa.

Im not completely positive. I would just look at the orientation of the upper mount bolt pattern on the frame and assure it will align correctly with the bottom.
