i think you need to get a lock pick in order for it to work.

I thought the lockpick was if you were trying to bypass going to the dealership and then a bunch of other features that offers. Them suckers are expensive lol!

You'll definitely need either a lock pick or a trip to the dealer to flash the proper code for the camera to come on when in reverse... Each deal varies, mine charged $45.

Which I'm fine with I'm just wanting to make sure it will work with the non navy screen. I guess I need to take it out and see if I have video in?

i dont think you can get an aftermarket camera to work on a factory radio. i want to say the dealer can only activate the factory backup camera, where the lockpick would allow you to run whatever camera you want.

I would call your dealer and see what the factory camera costs. Or at least get the part number and find the parts you need online.

I called and they said that with my truck I'd have to do the Rear view Mirror camera which is 600 bucks just for the camera. He wasn't sure why either since I have the 8" screen.

When I first bought my truck, I was kind of disappointed that the reverse camera was in my rear view mirror and not on the main screen. I kind of like it now since I can see other things in the mirror while backing up.

Thanks for the info ya'll! Wiring up all of the OEM harness stuff scares me a little! I don't know if I trust myself 100% to do all that! I tend to break clips easily lol. I'm going to look into a few options I guess or see if one of my buddies who's a electrical engineer for the airforce can help lol
