Just wanted to share my experience on the 2500 ride. I personally thought mine road really well actually, at least in my daily commute. However once I got it on some mountain roads it was terrible on washboards. I didn't expect a Cadillac ride but it was bad. Washboarded corners would need to come to almost a crawl to get it to turn. Air in the tires was set around 50-55psi already.

Anyways, long story short, I put on some Rancho RS7MT shocks on all 4 corners and a Thuren sway bar up front. I settled on the Ranchos because I've never tried Rancho before, my previous trucks all had 5100s and I had no complaints. I know the Ranchos don't have the best reputation but I found them for $56 at Rock Auto and thought "What the hell, why not".

The sway bar made the biggest difference and very noticeable (no surprise). The shocks were firmer on the little stuff than stock but deal with bigger hits much better.

This combination made an incredible difference on the washboards. Night and Day. No more teeth jarring bouncing in the cab, truck stayed right where I put it and could drive at a much more reasonable speed. The only difference is that I had my dirtbike and ramp in the bed.

Just wanted to add my experience to pool in case anyone else comes looking.

Did your 2500 have a sway bar to start with, that you replaced with the Thuren, or is the Thuren a net new addition. Is your 2500 the Off-Road package version, that came with Bilstiens? What Trim level on your 2025?

400 lbs in the bed does not really affect the ride though ?

Aaughhh, I know it’s me having a bad time.
Heh yeah it helps on the rear for sure. Not gonna do much for the front though.

@Dean2 its a bighorn and did NOT have the bilsteins. They do come with a stock sway bar which is stiff, by design. If you are gonna haul really heavy loads or high center of gravity you would want to keep the stock setup. The thuren sway bar allows each tire to a bit more independent articulation. For how i use my truck no issues for me.

my 2012 2500 was terrible on washboard roads.i had the 5100's with helper springs in the rear and a level kit.my fix was to buy a power wagon.worked like a charm.most comfortable ride you can get from an h/d.the 35's on a 17" rim probably help too.it wasn't the cheapest fix tho.
