I was looking at my performance shops Facebook page and they posted about Rigid Radiance light bars. The 40" is less than $500 compared to $1500 or whatever their regular light bar is. Anyone using one of these? Curious to see how good the quality is these since I'm now interested in one. Here's a link to the 40" bar on Rigids site.http://www.rigidindustries.com/led-lighting?f[0]=field_product_family%3a5169

I'm thinking very strongly about pulling the trigger, just would like to see some pics from members on here. I am going to ask the guys at the performance shop about them when they install my AMP power steps. Luckily they are a Rigid dealer so they should have some real experience with them. They also don't bs about stuff even if they carry it, meaning they'll tell you to get the cheaper option or more expensive option based on their experience.

Look at them in person side-by-side. Feel the weight difference, look at the brackets and how the wiring enters the housing. Count the screw used to seal. Ask questions. Compare the specs side-by-side. I have zero experience with the Radiance, but those are the things I'd look at.

This probably doesn't help much but this is a picture I found on a UTV website

I think this is Rigids new line of lights that are priced more friendly because of the competition.

It is, yes. I just want to know how they are compared to the other series. If it's worth the extra money for a different series I'd prefer to find out before dropping $475 on one.

I think they are new enough not many people have them or have reviewed them. I'm not finding much online. I do like the backlight color options, also like that it's the same housing as other series at higher prices.

I still think the quality will be far superior to all others out there like the rest of the light's, but they had to cut corners somewhere. Give them a call and get the DL from them on this series.

I'm sure it's the actual board and lights, probably not the worst ever but just not the same as the $1500 lights they make. As long as it's better than the ones I see on ebay, I'm okay with it.

Kinda surprised nobody on here has one of these, was hoping to get a real review since there is next to nothing when I did a Google search.

Honestly thinking of picking up a 20" radiance and doing a write up along side my 24" visionx XPR. I am kinda 50/50 on the fence right now about picking one up. I have another vehicle I could mount it on.

If you do get one I'd be interested to see what you think.

well right off the bat, things that strike me as different are obviously the single row vs E series which is dual row leds

21 leds vs 80 (both 40")

12.3k lumens vs 18.4k

radiance only comes in spot?(not mentioned on website) E series comes with combo or spot/flood

Just looks at the features of the radiance vs the e series and youll see why it's cheaper. Ill still stick to my ebay/amazon brands that haven't leaked or failed me yet

^ not entirely the correct story. The larger reflector of the radiance has a portion dedicated to a spot beam pattern. As the reflector progresses out from the LED the taper changes. That change in taper towards the end of the reflector throws out a flood pattern. It achieves this ability with a brighter 10w LED to produce enough light so that every part of that reflector has enough light to do its job.

Remember, lumens is one thing. Everyone advertises lumens. Lumens is the light out put at the light source. Doesnt give you much data. It's all about Lux and candela. Those are the numbers to pay attention to. Only Baja designs, visionx, KC and Rigid (major players to name a few) advertise these numbers. The Amazon/ eBay bars don't. Wonder why? I know why. I compared my buddy's 30" Amazon against my visionx XPR.....he threw the Amazon bar away lol. Has a rigid bar now.

The warranty, and fact that they give all that info is why I'm willing to get a cheaper model of theirs. What they are showing info wise tells me that they stand behind it even with the lower price. Had they given a different warranty for only these I'd probably shy away.

I noticed the spot/flood when I first saw it and is partially why I'm interested.
