I put new pads, rotors, and bearings on both sides of my truck a few weeks ago (everything was clean when installed) then took a test drive down the road, when I got back to the house the driver side was smoking a little. So I took it all back apart and the caliper was a little hard to compress so I went and bought a new one and a new break hose from the parts store. Got home put it on bled the breaks cleaned everything agian and everything was good for 3 days then it started smoking agian and getting hot so I pulled it apart yet agian and put new bearings and races in then it was fine yet agian for 3 weeks till today when it started again when I started down my driveway!!!

I'm at a complete loss any ideas would help.... Its only the driver side that's giving me problems

Replaced so far

bearings&races( 2 times)

Caliper

Brake hose

Flushed the break fluid

Rotor

That's odd. Sounds like a sticky caliper, but it shouldn't be.. are you pulling left when you brake? anything else happening when they act up?

I may be wrong....but you MIGHT have to do both sides. I don't think the MC is out, but I've seen weirder things.

Caliper is sticking on the sliding pins.

Polish the pins, replace the bushings they slide on, and grease them with brake lube; you should be good 2 go.

Good maybe it's fixed. I hope so. I hate it when my baby is down.
