I installed a Rough County 2.5 in lift kit on of my 2015 Ram 1500. I've noticed a lot of squeaking coming from the front end. I inspected and found the lower control arms are rubbing the spinldes on both sides. Didn't read anything about that in the reviews before purchasing the kit. Anyone have any suggestions to get rid of the god awful noise? I've done a little research on the forum now and found I'm not the only one experiencing this but didn't know if anyone had a solution other than removing the kit. Love the look just can't stand the squek.

Wow...that is really tight. This was after you had an alignment done? I'd also be concerned about the angle of the ball joint in the upper control arm if the bottom looks the way that it does.

I dont have a rough country lift kit, but im sure plenty of folks do and someone will probably respond with some type of suggestion.

Just wondering which exact kit did you use?

All trucks rub at that spot not just RC, your squeak is coming from somewhere else

My truck rubbed in the same spot for about a week after installing my Bilstein shocks.

I've actually had two alignments done since the kit was installed. One just after the install and then another after replacing the right lower control arm. These were done about 18 months apart.

Iv got the rough country 6 inch lift and have the same awful squeak iv narrowed it down to the upper control arms. When I replaced mine and greased them it stopped for a week and when I get an alignment it stops for a week. How ever I do not know how to permanently stop the squeak my new theory is torque, when I installed the new UCAs I did not have the specs nor a torque wrench so I hit them with some caveman strength. Hopefully this helps you find a solution that I can also use lol.

I had the same issue. It seems to be coming from the rubber bushing on top of the strut mounts. It changes the angle with the lift. I ended up opening the hood and filled the hole in the center of each strut tower with WD40. Let it sit and soak in for a few hours. Seems to work for 3-4 months at a time.
