Hey everyone. New to the forum as well as Dodge 1500 RWD owner. I have been looking at a 4" lift kit from Rough Country as I don't like how low the stock truck sits. Does anyone have any experience with this kit and would you recommend it? Also, will it be necessary for me to invest in new wheels and tires or can I run the factory P275/60/R20's and it not look silly? Rough Country recommends 35/12.50/R20.
Thanks for any help or ideas.

Welcome aboard! You'll hear differing opinions on RC lifts. I personally have run them on multiple vehicles and never had an issue. I never ran the particular one you are referencing but RC makes a good product. As far as running stock tires, I do think it might look a little off with the smaller tires. I think you could get away with a level or a 3" lift, but going 4" will put some space in your wheel wells that, although I don't think it will look silly (because your tires are still 33" tires), I think just maybe a bit undersized. You could give it a shot and see, then if it doesn't look good, go from there. I see rims/tires in fair shape on Craigslist all the time and you could install a set of those on the cheap until you find exactly what you want later down the road. My 2 cents....

Thanks for the welcomes everyone. And thank you JohnnyMac for your input. Think I'm gonna take your advice and go with a 2 1/2" level.

Welcome! I have a 2013 1500 Crew Cab with the Rough Country 4" lift and i'm running 35x12.5x17 BF Goodrich AT KO2s and I had to do a little trimming around the wheel well, but it looks perfect with the bigger tires. I like the ride my truck has. I think if you stick with a 20" wheel you might have a little better handling than I do with my big sidewalls, but I love the look of bigger tires. Call me old fashioned. lolIMG_0347.jpg
