Running board issue

OK so i bought a set of used Ram running boards . and when going to put them on i realize i don't have the nut inserts (not sure what to call them) on the rear mounting point. I have them in front but not the rear? I have a 2017 and the truck i got them from is a 2017. My question is are they supposed to be there? And where can i get them

I had to put some in mine. They didn't come with any in them. And didn't have any in the front on the passengers side.

on a related aside... those "nut inserts" are called nutserts.
