First off, thank you in advance for any guidance. I have a 2019 Ram 1500 Limited with the 3.21 axle ratio.

According to the Ram Towing Chart my GAWR front is 3,900, Rear is 4,100, Max Trailer is 8,190 and GCWR is 13,900.

The base weight numbers are 3,082 on front and 2,220 on the rear.

I went through a CAT scale this weekend with the trailer hooked up and the numbers were Steer Axle 3,420, Drive Axle 4,200, Trailer Axle 5,960, and Gross Weight 13,580.

I have a Fastway E2 weight distribution hitch and I thought I had it set up to distribute the weight properly but it looks like the back is a little heavy. I am assuming I would start with adding another washer to the hitch to move some weight off the back end. The air suspension confuses me a bit as it raises and lowers the back end.

Anyway, I am thinking is should start with another washer or two and if that does not help then move the brackets. Anyone dealt with this before or have any insight? If there is a calculator of what it should be that would be great!
Appreciate the guidance on how what numbers I should shoot for regarding the front and the back and how to get there?

I don't know how to set up the E2. I personally prefer the old 'bars and chains with a stand-alone sway control' setup as it's simple and direct.

That said, first you need to look at the door sticker on your truck to see what your actual front/rear axle weight ratings are - they're likely to be different from the chart. That's where you ALWAYS need to start.

Then you need to increase tension on the WD bars to transfer weight off the rear axle and onto the trailer/front axle. You're close so it won't take much to get you 'in spec.'

That said...I don't think I'd want much bigger of a trailer behind your truck. You're probably way over payload but you're also close to max (and currently over max on the rear axle) of your GAWRs, which is arguably more important. Are things going to blow up? Probably not. Is it safe? Eh I'd argue no but a lot of people do it and don't have accidents even with how poorly they drive.

Get your weights right and you'll probably be okay, just be cautious.
