S&b intake on 2500 6.4

I have read on here a couple guys have the s&b intake on the 6.4 hemi. I bought one for my 2500 and my question is do I leave the airbox plug out for more airflow through the second opening or should I install the plug and just use the one opening. It's the only mod i have so far but getting exhaust soon and then hopefully a tuner. Thanks

When I had mine on my 5.7 I didn't notice any difference with or without it except it made more noise without it. I ended up just putting it on and leaving it. Plus with the plug pulled out you're just sucking in hot engine bay temps....

Thank you, wasnt sure what to do because everything I read on s&b website didnt really say. But yeah dont really want to suck in hot air, defeats the purpose

I found that removing the plug offers no real improvements with basic mods.
