So I purchased the Diablosport Trinity. Just want to know if the recommended octane for a Hemi is 87.. Is it safe to run 91 or 93 all the time? Does it not burn hotter and need something more upgraded other the. Just CAI and throttle body? Something more than just your normal bolt ons? Just wondering..

wont hurt anything. Although if you dont use the 93 tune theres no reason to run it. I ran the 93 tune for over 2 yrs now with no issues. Im now on the 87 tune and trying to save some money for a while.

Well yeah I want the tune for a good 89 octane MPG saver and a tune for a 93 octane performance tune. Was just wondering if it's ok to run 93 all the time. Thanks for the reply!

Definitely fine to run 93 all the time. Important is to run 93 octane with the 93 tune. Don't run the 93 tune with even a diluted tank of lower octane.

There's really no point for a 89 oct tune. From what Diablosport said is they got more power from a 87 tune on 89 oct.

I ran the 91/93 tune for while didnt notice much from the 87 tune. So I just keep it on 87 until I get a custom tune one day.

87 tune is a dog tune. I'm noticing a difference with it. Lot less peppy. I ran 93 tune for so long I can tell there's a difference. I'm just running it to save money. $.40 more a gallon for 93 get expensive fast.

So obviously I'm gonna see a performance increase just by making the move to 93 octane. Up from 87... So did I just waste money with a Diablo Tuner? Or is the Tuner added with the 93 octane gonna just give crazy more performance then just having the 93 octane?

You wouldn't see gains just switching to higher octane gas. The higher octane is needed to support the adjustments in your tune, and get the most out of it.

To be honest it's really hard to tell the difference, but trucks TQ curve is all in the upper RPMs. So it pulls hard up there no matter what..

I did notice I would crazy amounts of ST knock with the 93 tune. Especially when it shift from 3rd to 4th. Could be false but don't see how.

It will add some performance, but it's like your going to be roasting the tires all the way through 3rd gear. lol

These canned tunes are really not that great..I was kinda bummed when I loaded mine. Just glad I only paid $250 for my Itune.
