SC Flashpaq 3865 Torque Management

I have had the SC 3865 for a few years now, and never actually used the $40 Torque Management, mainly because I was waititng until I got 4:56s first, and secondly I honestly have no idea how to use it...lol. I was told that you can adjust my WOT shift points, and bring it down from like 80% to about 8% which is supposely the sewwt spot for 3rd gens......all that I just read I have no clue what that means. All I want is better 1/4 mile times, will this help, or did I waste $40? SOm1 with some insight please clear this up? I am on the line of switching to DSP, but if this feature is helpful I may stay with what I have. thanks in advance

If you paid the $40 for the program, it's an awesome program and it isn't all about the TM settings either. You can set all your part throttle shifts in the program (1-4 up, 2-5 down, including your prime gears). Setting a custom trans schedule completely transforms how your truck shifts during day to day driving. Night and day difference.

If you dial in the TM just right, you should be able to find the a spot where your truck shifts fastest. A better description would be, a quicker and more seamless shift. If you take the time to learn the program, you will really enjoy it!

I just helped a 2010 truck load up a shift schedule and he was floored how great the truck ran. Custom trans tuning just makes the truck so much more fun to drive. Like it should of from the factory. Just so you know, it was tested like crazy.

It works like it should. Very important, since your truck is an important investment.

Print the values page (MPH and TP percentages columns) of the graphs and take it down to the truck. Go into advanced options and under SHIFT SCHEDULE check there. You'll see they're set up the same as what you printed. Do this first, so you can become familiar with the program. Tool around a little and when you're comfortable, enter the values and tune.
