It is where the belt ends are attached,I've never heard of it being an issue.Although it it more noticeable on some belts than others.As far as the edges,best I can tell they are ok.Do the pulleys travel straight? In alignment also?Hi,

2020 Ram 1500 5.7 CC 4x4 purchased new with 10,000km currently.
Was performing a visual inspection at time of oil change and noticed this on the serpentine belt, what do you folks think?

Old time flatbelts and lots of conveyor belts have instead of thread they have steel staple like fasteners.Serpentine have molded sutures connections on connecting ends.Some are not as noticeable as others is all.
