Serpentine belt seems to be showing an odd wavy pattern, as well as some unusual wear. Im no expert, but I don’t think a serpentine belt should look like that. Not to mention i have an intermittent squeak at idle

From the picture it looks pretty normal, but you are only showing 1 side of the belt.

If you decide to replace it, I recommend keeping the original belt in the truck just in case the new one breaks down the road. The old one will at least get you to the parts store. Or you could just buy 2 new ones so you have a spare, but I like saving money. Of course, you'll need to keep a socket and breaker bar in the truck to install it on the side of the road.

I'd stay away from The gator backs. They create alot of static electricity. Enough so gm put out a tsb for it creating static and taking out the transmission controller. Just a heads up.

I haven't seen the back side of a serpentine look like that. It seems the rubber on the back side is worn off exposing the cloth material underneath. The seam where the ends are joined is usually hidden by the rubber coating. I would check for binding on any accessory that has a pulley touching the back side of the belt. Looks like something is wearing the back side at an unusual rate. Also, check the belt tensioner to make sure it is up to snuff. Some of them have a pointer and scale. The manufacturer publishes a torque spec to move the pointer to a point on the scale.

+1 for the Gates Green back belts.

Here is a picture of a brand new mopar belt for a 5.7. The seam is visible on a new belt. So I still don’t think anything looks wrong with that side of the belt that you’ve shown.

Hard to tell from the pic. if the other side doesn't have cracks in it you should be good. But when in doubt change it not worth breaking down

Hello together,
i will change my belt, rolls, etc. too.
There are two Mopar belts at rockauto?
Which one is the right one for me?
Or can i choose a other manufactor?
Same question for the rolls, etc. are ACDELCO Parts good enough?
Best greetings from Germany

Rockauto is not very descriptive on the two Mopar belts. Usually, there are two lengths of belts depending on whether the vehicle has air conditioning or not, but Rockauto does not mention anything about A/C. HD trucks could have a second alternator, too, making for a third, longer belt. I suggest you study up on it more and not just trust the Rockauto site. Check other auto parts sites to see if they are more descriptive and compare part numbers.

From my own research on those two Mopar part numbers, the Mopar sites say that 5192067AC has been discontinued, and only 4593852AB is for your 2011 5.7L.

I've always bought Gates belts just because my dad did, and they've never let either of us down. Just like Mopar parts, you'll pay for the brand name with ACDelco. It's almost twice the price of the Gates, and I would doubt it's any better quality.

Look up your parts online like Mopargiant..........then copy & paste part numbers on the rockauto.........makes it easier........get the GatesHD belt toward the bottom for the best.

Yep, I used to drive by the factory in south Denver on my way to Colorado Springs for my reserve duty.
