Service 4wd light came on when starting this morning g

So I started my truck this morning and my service 4wd light came on. This truck is a 2010 with 20 miles the 4wd has been used only one a few years ago. I didn't do any off road driving or anything out of the norm. It rained last night that was about it. Any thoughts or ideas

How old is your battery ? It's a very common issue on the Grand Cherokee/Commander (incl. the one I had). The DTC is something like 'transmission control module low voltage' or similar.

As the battery gets towards the end of its useful life the voltage drop during start gets larger and makes the TCM panic.

If you have a voltmeter check the voltage during cranking.
