2015 Ram Eco diesel with 149K. Deleted 3 years ago. Tuned by a individual and not a branded company...Truck has run fine up until this message appeared in September. The message on the dash (Service Electronic Throttle Control) appears on the dash and does NOT throw a CEL or any codes. Message appears and truck goes into limp mode. Truck is in limp mode at the time.
Before this message First appeared I have recently changed out the factory air bags because they had failed and replaced them with the Air Delete shocks and coil springs. This kit came with a programmer ( vLinker FD) to knock out the dash lights for the factory air bag system (only). I had to pull fuses F05 (40AMP AIR COMPRESSOR) and F50 (Air Suspension System) to prevent them from running.
Here is what I have done to fix the truck. Which nothing has worked!!
1) Use Blue Driver Scan Tool to pull codes and delete message on dash but message comes back on test drive and back to limp mode.
2) Cleaned and replaced Map Sensor...New Map sensor is the same brand that was on the truck(Standard)
3) Cleaned Throttle Body
4) Change the Throttle Pedal with the same make as the factory one.
5) Replaced battery because it was 5 years old.
6) Pulled battery cables off and tied the pos/neg together and let sit for 4 hours to drain any power. Hooked them back up and message still appears and still limp mode.
7) I reinstalled fuses F05 AND F50 and cleared the message with the Blue Driver. Drove the truck and message comes back and limp mode again. Removed Both fuses.
I am at LOSS folks beside getting the person that tuned it 3 years ago to put it back and re-tune the PCM again and see if that clears it up??
I am open to Ya'lls suggestions as well.....Many Thanks
