I purchased a 12+8 connector as recommended for the ODB Jscan app. I for the life of me cannot find where it plugs into. I have a 2018 Ram 1500 Outdoorsman (SLT).
Did I buy the wrong adapter or am I just blind? I searched under the dash behind the knee panel and can't see it. I see the bus block though. Don't want to tear the center dash apart if I just didn't look high enough or bought the wrong cable. Just want to change the tire size to correct the speedo.

might help......

"For the 2018 model year as well as for the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic and 2019 2500 – 5500 (DS) the security gateway module is located behind the radio. For the 2019 Ram 1500 (DT) the security gateway module is located on the left side of the driver footwell. Follow the appropriate steps below for installation."

I'd ditch the 12+8 adapter and buy a Kaodtech security bypass cable.

It installs easily in minutes without removing anything and can remain installed indefinitely.

My time is worth more than saving a few bucks and I don't want the headache of an R&R of the radio, every time I want to tweak something.

Tweaking tire circumference usually takes a few attempts if you care about having an accurate speedo.

loo...i bet you were. what size radio you have? the 12" isn't too bad to pull out.
I have the little 4 inch one. Pulling that bezel off with all those stupid clips was very butt clenching. My hands were just small enough to un plug the two wires without pulling the SGW out.

That's my next purchase. I thought it took the 12+8 as Jscan and google showed that. I also got lucky with my tire adjustment. I have 35s and put it at 34.5 and it is spot on. But yeah, pulling that bezel out to get to the SGW was quite the job. So once is enough.
