Shift Firmness???

I was wondering why you cant adjust the shift firmness on the trucks but yet you can on the cars. Can anyone shed some light on this.

I would look into a custom tune from Hemifever...he can adjust your shift firmness for you.

I just sent my files to get Dave (White lighting) to write a tune for it. He is pretty good? I just heard a good bit about him and his trans tunes.

Whitelightning is VERY good with his trans tuning, highly recommend him for anything tcm wise.

Never ran one of his engine tunes so I can't give any opinions on that one. I LOVE his trans tune though.

It needs a trans tune bad. I was getting on the interstate today and was rolling maybe 55 in 5th gear when to speed up gave a little gas to down shift. I was almost 1/2 throttle before the thing even thought about down shifting. It just seems sluggish on the trans tune of it.

What about manual downshift - using "-" on that little stick .. still sluggish?

His 4th gen trans tuning is questionable at best right now. If you want reliability, then Hemifever is the only way to go.

sorry but hf trans tunes are questionable at best right now too. he has spent less time doing trans tuning on these trucks than Dave has. Engine tune, no question I'd go with Sean, trans tune not a chance in hell.

I here that alot. I mean thats some chance to spend just for a engine tune from one and a trans tune from the other.

Do either of these tunes address torque management? OP I suspect that is why they gave us that little shifter on the stalk. In my little express with the 3.92 it loves to flop over into 6th and stay there. You DO have to give a tone of pedal to get it to shift down. So what I do when it get's lazy - I sneak it down into 5th then 4th. No huge lurching downshift - and now I'm driving a 4 speed in top gear right in the torque. Then when I get out of the hole - I just use the button to come back through 5th and into 6th. Much more refined than flooring it to get it to downshift. [2cents]

WL does engine tunes as well....engine tune is very comparable to HF. Not going to lie there. Trans tuning is what sets them somewhat apart.

Im running both (for the past 4 months), but given I am vendor and work closely with Dave, I will get you actual customer feedback vs mine as I dont want you to think its a skewed feedback

There is nothing yet for the '13s at this point as the Diablo Tuners are not yet ready for them.
Once they do become available, it will be tunable

Give Dave a shout (which Im sure you did already),
He has been re tweaking a few engine trans to better them....
