The power and video wires for my backup cam run out of the bottom of the tailgate and under the bed, but cross the gap pictured below. Even though I have it protected by the plastic tube, I am worried that wire will be at risk if I haul gravel or landscape materials. Is this how they do the OEM? Is there a boot or something that goes between this gap?

Here is a picture of the flush mount camera. If you didn't know it was there, you would never notice it.

Sorry to hear you're having troubles with your Camera. I haven't had to deal with that issue yet, but your LED flashlight in the Upper box just gave me a great concept idea. I'll post it up if I end up doing the mod.

Thanks, I'll watch for it.

backup cam is working

Good news, everyone. I got the backup cam to work... all I had to do was pull of the neg battery cable and put it back on. I guess the lockpick was weirded out when I added the cam without dc the neg cable. A reboot and she's set.

I put in the cabin air filter mod today... took about 10 min. It was easier to cut with the upper glove box out, but otherwise the sticky is spot on.

My remote start harness and box is here, except for the hood switch so I am waiting to put that in.
