Went out on my own today thinking I wouldn't get stuck because I wasn't doing anything stupid.... I've driven over this section at least 30 times....but snowmelt and 3" of rain last week had other plans.... Lmao.

Very tight maneuvers in a spot the truck should never have been in in the first place. Caught the left rear corner on a building trying to make a right turn. Sad part is I never even felt it, only heard it..

What happens when the tail housing on your transmission breaks off at 75 mph... Catastrophic damage, leading to transmission job #2 within 5 months...

241D and 241HDs were used on the 2500. They'll both bolt right up to the 46RE to my knowledge, but you'll have to get the driveshaft lengths changed.

No idea yet... It has a rattling/clunk coming out of the rear differential when I hit bumps/come to a stop. When I checked the fluid, I didn't have time to pull it all apart/diagnose/repair, so until I can research it more and gather some parts, I threw in a new batch of 75W90. The truck still drives fine, just makes noises.

That's fine. The transfer case mangled my rear shaft anyways, and the front one exploded into 6 pieces. Lol

No sir the driveshafts will stay the same length.

OP make sure you get a 241 with the right input spline count and the same input shaft length as there are two opt out there.

Would you do us a favor? Would you remove the tailshaft housing off the xcase and see if the C clip is still in its place.

Okay, I'll have to count what I have now. Thanks for the info!

I have a new goof up that could have been disaterous: managed to set my truck on fire while on the dyno. Starter wiring harness was sitting on the LT header and it got hot enough to burst into flames. Ended up roasting the wiring harness, transmission shifter cable, and the exhaust temps managed to fuse the wiring going back to the fuel pump. It was a great day!

Slid on some ice/snow and hit a trash can doing about 25. The worst part tho was picking up the trash that I just launched all over their yard.
this made me laugh mightily. sorry to hear it though
