Have sidesteps on for about a year and they've got some spots in the powercoat that are rusting. Obviously they're going to take abuse from gravel etc but more spots then I was expecting. How does everyone handle this? Just let it ride and replace when they rust out? Try to just spot spray paint/bedline the area? Or just go and bedline over the entire step (would this bond to the powdercoat?)?

They take a beating if you live in the rust belt. In my opinion, the best you can do is buy black side steps and touch them up when they develop rust spots.

They're also going to rust your truck where they mate up and mount to the inside of the rocker panels.

Yep, touch them up best you can and when it's time to replace them buy black stainless or black aluminum bars. They should last longer.
