side view mirror replacement options 2023 classic warlock

Just leased this 1500 Saturday. Did a ton of research, including fitment in my garage because the house was built in 1955 and the garage is smallish. Focused on the height which barely fit my 2019 classic and took a tape measure to the dealer to measure the height of the 2023.

It was the same but the manually folding side view mirrors on the 2023 are wider and I have barely one inch of total clearance which is not enough of a margin.

Yes i can get through the garage opening if I manually fold the driver side mirror but if it's pouring down rain the interior of the cab is always going to get soaked.

Anyway, was wondering what my options are. I know I can cancel the lease because it will have been within the grace period but I'd rather not do that and they don't have any other comparable vehicles with the power folding mirrors.

So, what are my options?

1. I know it would be expensive but can the manually folding side view mirrors be replaced with power folding mirrors (I realize I'd also need the appropriate control pad)?

2. At least from the outside, both the manual and power mirrors look to be the same physical footprint so is there a way to retrofit the manually folding with the powered internals?

3. Is there a smaller footprint manually folding mirror that I could swap out, oem or aftermarket?

does your lease allow you to make upgrades ??

Power mirrors require;
power mirrors, choose from 2 or 3 brands
power mirror/window arm rest control panel driver/passenger doors
Door Module, drivers/passenger doors, need verification

Images are just for an example, check for correct model numbers

I'm aware it's more than just the mirrors and I'm not sure about permission for upgrades. Will be talking to the dealer either tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest.

You could swap to a set of aftermarket power fold mirrors, when you go to turn the lease in back in the dealership isn't going to even notice if they look like the factory mirrors and work. You could always keep the original parts and then put them back on before you turn the truck back in.

Does anyone know how to determine the part numbers of the mirrors and associated components that are currently on my truck? This would give me an idea of what other mirrors / components might be compatible from the mopar website.

Well, the dealership essentially blew me off today. They said that even if I bought OEM / Mopar parts from them that they would not install them. Reasons cited were the "probability" of complications from having to "splice cables, etc." and other such nonsense.

Your best option is to join millions of other people with older homes and park your huge 4x4 truck in the driveway.

Cars keep getting bigger, garages don't. Sucks but that's the senseless world we live in.

Does anyone have an idea why I keep getting this message when I type my VIN # in the mopar website? Is it because I just got it this past Saturday and maybe it takes some time for it to get purged from the dealership inventory?

Dealers don't want to do much work on the vehicles anymore. If it takes any real effort, they "lose" money, versus the ability to just toss the cars on the lift and run the "normal" maintenance.

Heck my old work truck had a broken tail light cover, could have done the work myself for $100, but company wanted the dealer to do the work, and it cost us almost $800, just to swap the tail light assey.

My sister also got told her Silverado 1500 can't have power folding tow mirrors, as it isn't a Chevy Supported Option for her '17.

I don't ask the dealer. I ask this forum. Plus I'm a Controls Engineer, so my literal job is to make shti that shouldn't work together, work. So hacking crap like that is "tuesday" to me.

The only thing that comes to my mind, is you are on a lease. You really shouldn't screw with the truck on the lease.

I don't see that text "POWER FOLDING TOW MIRRORS" when I do a text search in the pdf document? the only "FOLDING" that turns up in a word search is for the rear seat.

All I'm seeing in regard to the mirrors is this:

The two entries I highlighted in yellow I think that means the mirrors themselves are power adjustable, which they are. But there is no button on the switch bezel to press to fold and unfold the mirrors.
