It seems with the windows up, the pressure inside the cab makes it difficult to gently close the door. Instead, I have to slam it. It's worse on the drivers door, at least in my mind.

Isn't there a built in pressure relief to help alleviate this? I know on my car, I have windows that drop about an inch until you close the door and then they close. I had another car that had rubber flappers that would vent pressure.

Does anyone know if there are pressure relief vents inside these trucks or do I have to keep being the manly man and slam them shut?

Never heard of this, but never noticed it being an issue.

I do know what you mean with the windows, I had a bmw that did that.

Mine does the same thing. It seems that the drivers door is becoming easier to close. Whenever I have passengers though, they need to close the door twice.

yeah it's a bit tricky but you don't have to slam it just apply pressure and keep your hand on it till it's actually closed. if you just do a lazy push it usually won't close. it should get a bit better as the rubber wears

as for passengers i usually crack my window and let them get out first

There are 2 pressure relief flaps on the rear cab wall of the truck.
You should not have any issue with this.

Can you close the doors easily with the windows cracked?
I know one of my 4 doors just refuses to close with a smooth push and needs a good 'shove'.

I think that is normal. Both of my doors need a good shove to close, unless the windows are open.

The door closes easily with the window cracked. I guess I'll have a look at the flaps to see if they're operating properly.

Thanks all for the feedback!

Its normal my flaps are operating cause I can see them and doors still shut very tight. I would chalk it up to better seals then anyone has ever put into a pickup.

I tend to agree with the above, my doors (the 3 good ones) still take more effort than average car doors. The triple seals around the perimeter make quite a seal!

I like to close my door, by taking a 20 foot run and slamming into it in a busy parking lot. It sure give others something to talk about.
