Just installed one of these....it's a serious chunk of iron. It fits a bit loose in the 2" adaptor sleeve, but looks cool and is fully functional. I haven't heard any rattle with normal driving either. It sits about 5-6" lower than the bumper step and will provide serious protection if somebody rear ends you (unless its a sports car). There are also 2 hole positions and it can be flipped over to gain/loose height. You can also use the step as a tow point by weaving a tow strap through the steps openings.

Was gonna buy a WeatherTech bump step, but found this and its built like a tank for less than $10 more. It is a smooth surface so I plan to put grip tape on it just for added slip resistance. I recommend it.

Really surprised it's a smooth surface I mean it's a step. Little bit of water and it will be like stepping on ice.

Looks good!

Exactly ;)

It's made in China not USA, but what isn't these days. It's under $60 and should take a beating and last forever.

It's a black powdercoat finish, but smooth. Definitely needs grip tape.

The first time I'd walk around the truck and slam my shin into it, I'd have to take it off and beat someone to death with it.

Been there done that with the draw bar.

At least the Smitty has rounded edges and the triangular shape makes for less direct impact on the shins/knees :)

smitttybilt stuff is ****. i bought an xrc black box,it came missing 2 hinge bolts,no keys to the locks and the weld for the hitch mount was welded wrong so it sits crooked and took almost a month to deliver it. i even asked just jeeps to make sure it was in working order before they shipped it.it wasn't worth the cost to return it so i'm stuck with the *************.stay away from their products.
