Anybody know anything or have any experience with Smittybuilt winches? I am looking at a 10K winch for my ram. Theyre pretty decently priced. Wondering what anyones opinion about them is.

They're pretty well regarded in the Jeep circles I came from. I had a Rugged Ridge on my Jeep, so I can't comment more directly.

Everyone I've ever know with a smitty built has had issues, rugged ridge not a whole lot better.. I have a superwinch on mine and it's worked great.. Really depends on how often you plan on using it and for what. But in my opinion go for superwinch or engo

Smittybilt is usually associated with cheap China crap.

I have a Tuff Stuff Xtreme 12.5K winch that I've used 4 times and its worked perfectly so far. Waterproof, 3yr Warranty, $350 was worth it to me.

I would recommend Tuff Stuff, Warn, Mile Marker, and Recon when it comes to winches. You could probably find a nice deal on a Recon if you look.

Depends what you're going to do with it. If you are going to receiver hitch mount it for occasional use, the "china crap" winches will work fine for you.
If it's going to see daily or commercial use, buy accordingly. Lots of tow trucks around here use Warn. Like I previously posted, lots of guys I wheeled with had smitty's on their jeeps with no problems. They will definitely pull their rated loads. I've seen them do it.
Use the extra $$ for more important mods.
