Smoke from headers

Hi there. I have been tinkering on this truck for several months and gotten it to start, but now when it starts it will run for a few minutes and then it will die. It also begins smoking around the header and out the exhaust return tube. But not out of the tailpipe. Any ideas?

I've replaced the sparkplugs and wires and given it an oil change

may want to check fuel pressure. pump could be failing. you need new valve cover gaskets. should stop the smoke

I replaced the pump I'll double check that though... It was a junkyard special. The pressure shows correctly though.
