Hello, newbie here.
I have a 2016 1500 with the 5.7 .
I have a Fisher HT series snow plow installed. The lighter duty specifically made for 1/2 tons.
I notice the blade is dangerous close to the ground when fully raised.(2" with the blade straight, less at the corners when angled)
Since the push plates are mounted to the frame will a leveling kit give me more clearance for blade to ground or will I have to install an actual suspension lift to solve my issue?
I thank you for any assistance people can offer me.

The lift should have plenty of stroke to lift that blade if adjusted correctly. Make sure there isn't to much slack in the lift chain. Even one link will make a big difference.

My plow has no lift chain. Just 2 positions to mount the lift piston. It is currently set to offer the highest lift.

Was not familiar with that system and had to look it up. I have been plowing snow for around 20 years and have seen and ran many types and brands. By looking at the frame work and lift system on this particular model I would suggest only using it for personal work.

I would not be traveling with it unless needed. There is no way to lift and secure blade if the pump or ram fails.

Interesting because Fisher used to be one of the better brands, at least the contractor series was.

But to address your question, yes a level will give you more clearance.

Yes it is not a commercial plow at all. I'm not overly impressed with it but it is supposed to be made specifically for 1/2 ton trucks whose suspension was not designed to carry the weight of a HD plow. I will only be using it for my driveway. The only time I will be traveling with it is if I know a storm will be coming in while I'm at work I will put it on the night before and go to work with it on.
Thank you for your information.
