My 2500’s TPMS dings at me every time I start it. 50 front and 40 rear. Rides a lot better than the 93 psi it came from the dealer with. 2 blocks from the dealer I was on the shoulder dropping air pressures. My door jamb also says 60/65.

Always go by the manufacture psi on the tires, not the door jam. The pressure sensors are designed to trigger a warning when there’s a 4-5 pound difference between tires. Try to keep your pressures more equal.

My Ram is different from yours by a tiny bit, '13 1500 Sport 4x4. I had the same issue pop up the beginning of this week; found nearly the same issues with one exception, the right rear was 5 pounds lower the the others. When I brought it up to the others it took the remainder of the day to finally go out. 2 days later it showed up again, same tire, 2 pounds off from the others. Only thing that I know for sure is the Manual stated that it "may take 20 minutes or more to clear." All that to say, yours may be similar; I feel your frustration too.

Mine also shows 75/80. I have the 20" factory Firestones but did lower mine to about 65/73. Rides much better

there is so much misinformation on here.....first but not lastly the max psi on your tires is what your tire is rated for when at max capacity.

The max pressure on the tire is what the manufacture wants that tire filled too when carrying the maximum weight the tire is rated for.
Unless your are running rig that weighs all that the tires are rated for you DO NOT NEED to or is it desirerable to run that much pressure in a tire.

The pressure listed on the door tag of your truck is what the original equipment tire needs when your truck is loaded to the maximum weight shown on that same label.

There is no need or reason to run tires that are inflated way beyound the load that they are carrying, you can find load and inflation tables for most tires on the tire manufactures web sites.

Beware of Firestone, I just had a rear tire that separated the tread terrible vibration. 26000 miles and they're gone. Garbage tire. Went to firestone shop they said that they have a 90 da warranty on a new vehicle. I think ********.

Yep, Firestone left me greatly disappointed also.
They were OEM on 2014 , 2500. Factory rubber got 22000, replaced with same tire, duh moment, got a whopping 21000.
Sure not what they used to be!

The max psi on the tire is the max that they are rated for. The sticker in the door jamb is what the vehicle manufacturer has determined to be the best for that particular vehicle with it's weight, etc.

my old 2012 tpms used to go haywire whenever it got really cold out.it didn't matter what the pressures were it still set the stupid things off.if i adjusted the pressures it took forever to reset.i eventually got rid of all of them in all 3 sets i had for the truck.if the new truck starts doing it this winter they are gone too.

PW has load range D tires as all others have load range E tires.PW does call for 60/65 and all others have 65/70ish specs. My CTD called for 80 in the rear.

It always amazes me how people are still going off what the door sticker says. Doesn't anyone remember the Firestone tire debacle from the late 90's? While both sides, Firestone and Ford, did blame each other it was noted that people kept their tires inflated by the door sticker and not the recommended values on the tire. It could have been a bad tire design too but I seem to remember that the sticker PSI value was a contributing factor.

Personally, I don't care what the door sticker says, the tire was manufactured for a maximum PSI and I step down 5 PSI and run them there.

I have the 17” Firestone HTs, recommended psi is 75/80. Like Irishthreeper mentioned, rides like a brick. I let a bit of air out, closer to 72/87 and a tad better. Anyone know the threshold that trips the alert? Wondering how much I can let out before it goes off, guess I can experiment a bit too, just didn’t know if anyone knew offhand.

Ask and ye shall receive. This was mine this spring with an almost full tank of fuel and me in it. My 2.5" solid hitch insert was in too. It probably weighs about 30-40lbs

I weighed mine empty pretty similar. Based on the weight of my rear axle I could easily run 25psi in the rear tires and 35psi in the front according to Toyo for the Toyo tires I am running. I get perfect wear and smooth ride even tho I have opted to run a little higher psi simply because at 25psi my tire pressure light will come on as the AEV will not allow the threshold to be set that low. So low 30's still feels great..And even loaded I don't need much more than that to have a cushion. empty my pw is 7420 and loaded 8840 which is over gvwr but still the rear tires only need to support 2110lbs apiece

So the Firestone/Ford explorer tire problem began when owners complained that the vehicle rode to rough.

So now we have HD trucks that ride to rough, if it rides to rough maybe you should have bought a 1\2 ton or maybe a Ridgeline. I think Ridgelines run 30ish PSI.

New delivery 2021 Ram 2500 6.4L 4WD with 18" rims received from the dealership on 7/5/21. The TPM minimums of 60F 65R are set as standards in the electronic display and if you dare reduce tire pressure for comfort you will receive the idiot light warning for low pressure. Everyone debating door stickers and tire manufacture recommendations, you forget this information is also coded in the electronics and will scold you if violated that quickly becomes an annoyance. Apparently this does not apply to the older models?
In August I received the spurious tire pressure warning and when I navigate to the Tire pressure screen i also got the "not available" notice. I physically verified the tire pressures were above minimums by 5psi. It took 2 days for the problem to correct itself. The same problem again happened in November but again, the problem corrected itself in a couple days. My truck is now at the Dealership currently and they advised that it did kick codes for the TPM. I have not been contacted yet for the return of my truck, but it has been 3 days now waiting for the call on disposition...
BTW a tension rod also became dislodged from one of my ram box lids (less then 5 days of ownership) and they are supposed to be working on that as well.
That being said, I LOVE THIS TRUCK!!!!! Just one of those things i guess. My Ford was much worse in the first 6 months so, I WIN.

apparently the 10 miles on the odometer were not enough to set the new TPMS sensors
It can take a few days of driving to set those sensors, Discount Tire should have caught that

They over inflate the tires at the assembly plant
It is done so that whether it travels by Train or Truck, when they tie it down for transport, they down do Not want loose tie downs, they want them pretty well rigid
