I brought a used softopper yesterday and have a couple questions. How much gap between the trucks rear window did you leave?

The softopper site warns against automatic car washes. Has anyone taken theirs through one? Did it damage the top?

Please don't take that beautiful blue truck through a car wash---

I'm finding the view out the rear window to be more obstructed than without the topper. The rear window starts 4 inches above the tailgate. I may leave it rolled up in dry weather.

Mine is just over 4 years old now and still looks and performs like brand new. I don't leave it up all the time and I keep it stored in the protective cover when not in use. I saw a while back that they released a new version that fits tighter to the cab like a fiberglass cover does which I think looks even better.

You can zip the whole back panel out , or you can just zip the two sides up and roll it up to load things in and out
