Sounds

Hello,

After turning off the beast if I sit in the truck for a couple minutes I'll hear a few whirring or clicking sounds from behind the dash. Anybody have an idea of what's going on? Just wondering.

Same thing here. Never thought anything of it.

I believe that it is either the HVAC blend doors closing or more likely the radio's circuits humming a bit as they power down.

you will hear your vents closing and a few other electronics doing their things to shut down. Nothing to put a focus on.

Better make sure to seal up that third brake light then, wouldn't want them getting wet.

Back in my truckin days whenever I would shut my tractor down if I sat in it for a minute you would hear it creak and groan as it settled in for the night. Used to love those sounds. ISX 525 with an 18spd. Not crazy top end but holy freakin torque man.

As someone else said its the doors in the HVAC housing. It takes a few minutes for all the modules to go sleep and when they do the doors may go through another calibration and stop at a default position.

That's funny... I've heard those sounds and never thought to ask here. Glad you asked so I could read about it. To me it always sounded like vent doors closing.
