Spare tire carrier

I am going to be installing train horns on my truck. I need to mount them where the spare tire went. Can the spare tire carrier be removed.

I have a 2012 ram 1500 single cab express, and I removed my spare tire under the bed to put a train horn there. Compressor, air tank and horns.

My system is already installed and has been. I'm just upgrading the horns to the K3 horns.

Yes, the spare tire winch assembly can be removed.
It needs a bit of fiddling around, but it's possible.
(Had mine removed, but put it back in eventually.)
