So, my truck has approx. 83,000 miles on it and I keep feeling like this 5.7 should have more power. Not getting terrible gas mileage, but with gas prices going up, I figured I had better do plugs, oil change, clean the K&N CAI and maybe plug wires. I bought the truck used at 75,000 and I was told that the services had been done for each service interval, etc. I pulled the very first plug... this is what I found. The second image is what every other plug looked like following. Some of these plugs ranged upwards of .065 and .070. So, 1.5hrs later, some tired arms and they're all done. Makes me worried about what other so called service had been done on the truck so far.I can certainly tell that these plugs had never been changed before. This was still easier than trying to do 8 pugs on a Ford Lighting.
It's running better than ever. Now, what plug wires to choose? Any suggestions?
