Looking to upgrade my 2018 1500 Express Quad Cab and would like to start with better speakers. Basic 5" Uconnect and 6 factory speakers currently.

Future plans will be to install a new head unit (Kenwood) and a Kicker Key 200.4 amp so looking for great sound and compatibility with these. No plans for a sub just replacing stock speakers in factory locations.

Thanks

I’ve always liked the Alpine S65C speakers. They come in S-S65C or R-S65C. It looks like they upgraded them so now they’re S2-S65C and R2-S65C.

Alpine R is their premium brand, I think, so they’ll be quite a bit more expensive. I still think the S ones will sound nice tho.

My issues are with tweeters. Having used Infinity Reference and Focals before, I find their tweeters to be super bright and harsh on the “s” sounds even after tuning. But the Alpine tweeters sound great and clear without destroying my ears.

Of course, the mids are great too.

They aren’t the cheapest, so I can’t recommend frying them trying to rattle your windows with bass. Use a filter and a subwoofer for that.

For a cheaper option, Rockford Fosgate is also very solid and have always got the job done.
