Looking for some input on speaker replacement. I have a 2019 Ram Classic Big Horn with the 8.4. I am only looking to upgrade the factory speakers for now and maybe add the kicker sub later on. These are what I am considering. Any feedback on bass output and distortion would be appreciated. Trying to keep the total cost of speakers below $150 if possible.

The mounting depth on these is too much to put in the front doors. At 3 3/16" they might be too much for the rears as well, but I'm not sure about the rears. Front door depth clearance in the 2019 Classic can fit speakers up to 2 3/4" deep. Sonically, their specs are very similar to the Pioneers, which is pretty good.

I have these in my 2018 and I like them a lot. Decent bass and they are fairly efficient, meaning they play louder than most 6X9's in this price range. No problem fitting them in the front doors, they slide right in.

Bass response is not as deep as the Pioneer's or Kickers, nor are they as efficient. Mounting depth is just a tad too much for the fronts.

Too deep for the front doors, bass response is not as good as the Kicker's or the Pioneers; also won't play as loud as those other two.

I didn't comment on the 3.5" dash speakers because I don't think there is a whole lot of difference from brand to brand at that price point. No matter what 3.5" speakers you get they are almost certainly going to be 4 ohms, meaning they will play a lot louder and brighter than the stock speakers, which are 8 ohms. You WILL want to do the 4 ohm resistor modification to bring the aftermarket dash speakers into the proper resistive load for the 8.4 Uconnect amplifier.

I did the Kicker Mopar upgrade and got the sub as well. The part numbers escape me right but its been posted in here before. They sound great to me definitely better than stock couldn't be happier. I'm not doing balls out systems anymore so this works.

Thank you for the feedback. I have used pioneer and kicker on other vehicles before and prefer the kickers but I think you are right on the mounting depth. The pioneers will probably be the best option and they typically sound pretty good. I just ordered the resistors for the front speakers so I can have everything here for when I do the swap.
