I have a 2012 35000 ST..and I went out and bought new speakers for both the front and rear doors. I was going to put them in, when another guy told me they make speaker wire adapters...so you don't have to cut the existing speakers wires inside the doors for the new speakers...anybody know if this is true and where/part number I can get them. I'd rather not cut anything unless its absolutely necessary!

I usually look up what audio accessories I need on Crutchfield's website because they have a nice utility to plug in which car you have and show you what fits. Then I'll check out Amazon, eBay, etc and see if I can get it cheaper.

Just plug in your ride, select any speaker for the location you're replacing. There will be a link to click where they show you all the free stuff they give you with the speakers. In that list will be the adapters that work for your truck.

They are typically Metra adapters, and you can go to Metra's website and look the stuff up too. But I like to also see what other new speakers may be out there.

They are nice. IIRC, the ones that came with my dash speakers had the +/- reversed. I typically use wire splices, because they are much cheaper, can be found locally, and you still don't have to cut the OE harness:
