After complaining about these two piece 20" chrome wheels making noise like they are going to fall off, and getting nowhere, I finally took matters into my own hands and fixed them. Here's how:
1. Remove offending wheel & place on sawhorses or barrel, backside up.
2. Clean the area between the chrome cover and the aluminum wheel as best you can. A rag and 409 worked for me. Let thoroughly dry.
3. Fill the space between the wheel and the cover with silicone adhesive sealant. I used Permatex black in the small sqeeze tube, others may work as well. It comes with a long applicator tip. I cut the tip at an angle, large enough to lay about 1/4" wide bead. I put just enough in the gap to bridge between the wheel and cover. Do this on all 5 triangles.
4. Wipe off excess from chrome immediately with a rag and mild solvent. If it drys it's harder to get off.
5. I went one extra step, and put some adhesive between the wheel and the chrome on the front side, in a few spots at the outside of the wheel. Again, clean off excess immediately.
6. Let dry overnight before driving.
I have had mine repaired for about 2 mos. now, and the wheel has stayed nice and quiet.
