SRT bumper cover

Bought a AIT srt bumper cover and it's a piece of crap DO NOT buy this product it has a bad fit and there aren't even any attachment points on the bumper to attach it to the original bumper.

But have to make do with what I have so I'm givin it a try to make it fit properly.

Could anyone who has a srt truck or a hemi with a srt bumper cover take a picture from the same angle as this one? That way I'll have an idea how it's supposed to look, in relation to the original bumper underneath and the wheel well cover.



General pic, think I should leave it in this color?



If anyone has an tips/advice as to how to mount this piece of crap reasonably nice, please let me know!

you have to remove your old bumper cover to replace it with your new bumper cover

Yeah you have to swap out the original bumper supports and put in the sport bumper supports to be able to use that bumper

yea, and i think there are some additional supports in addition the sport bumper supports for the srt bumper

That's pretty scary. Do yourself a favor, return that POS bumper, and use that money to buy a decent jack, and set of jack stands.

Hate spending time/money on exterior parts, wife refused to ride in my truck looking the way it did so had to take some action! Offcourse me being a cheapskate has backfired seriously!!

It's a festool box man, should be ok!!!

Jackstands are behind it on the frame rails, two jacks in front I used to line up the bumper

Bumper is on, fought with it all day long but can't get it to line up perfectly on the driver side, the crash I had probably bent some stuff slightly and that's causing my problems.



There are a couple of guys around where I live that are parting out crashed srt's, have mailed them to see if they have the plastic 'filler' pieces I need to properly finish the bumper at both ends. I'll line up the bumper at both ends when I've got the pieces.

damn there has to be better way to mount it then screws on top to hold it? kinda looks like bondo will be your best friend.

The bolts are underneath the grill, so not visible unless you actually look at them, will swap them out for some black aluminium ones so they blend in even more after the truck is painted.

Still have to repair the front fender, that's why the corner in the last pic lines up so badly. It actually looks a lot better than I thought it would after my first test fittings
