With that said it could be a battery issue still. Bad PCM or a battery cable issue.
That how my 96 was acting random stalling. Always started good but I knew the battery was weak (dropping 10.5V or so). Change the PCM and the battery at the same time. But in you case I would just change the battery first and double check the cables which is much cheaper than change a PCM.
