Hi all, just a quick question about a steering problem I’m having. First I’ll start by saying that I first noticed this in the winter. For some reason In the cold when first starting the truck the steering would be stiff as though I had no power steering. Now right after giving it some gas it would go back to normal (so it wasn’t about warming it up, more like freeing something up) until I stopped, turned off the truck and left for a while. Anyway now That the summer is here I’m noticing that there’s a groaning when turning the steering wheel, so I figure they may be related. My thoughts are rack and pinion needing to be replaced, but I figured I’d ask first.
Also: I know that I need an alignment in case that explains the groaning. I’m not really sure. Thanks for any responses.
