Hello all,
I recently purchased a 25' camper. About 5k lbs. I also got a load leveling hitch used from a friend.
The load leveling hitch really works. I've towed many things and my 1500 usually squats. No air bags.
Question....I noticed my steering wheel is aligned about a 1/4 inch to the right while towing down the highway. What is causing this??
No wind conditions or very little.
My cruise control kicked off after about 40 miles pulling the camper and would not reengage until after I dropped the camper. Thoughts??

For the steering wheel. I would guess if it is squatted in the back, the front end is actually raised up a little. Meaning measure from the ground to the top of the front wheelwell empty and measure it again with the trailer. If the measurement increases it is slightly changing the geometry of the draglink, which is the rod that connects the steering box on the frame to the wheels.......with the front end lifted up a little this distances changes and would "pull" the steering wheel over like that. Same thing happens if you lift the truck and don't adjust the draglink.
Not sure what to tell you about the cruise control. Did you have any check engine lights?
