I have a set on there now, but they are cheap crap and need replaced. I'm looking for a set that is either bolted directly to the body mounts or to the factory mounts. I have a 2" body lift on the truck, which kind of limits what I can get as far as armor, but Id like to get something along the lines of rock sliders. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm racking my brain trying to find a set.

They’re not Rock Sliders but I have these on my Rig.

They are also really sturdy. I’m a 235# guy, when I step up on them they don’t move at all. I think they’re maybe Stainless ....? I’ve never actually looked them up though. But there isn’t an imperfection on them anywhere.

Our work Rigs (**** F-2****tys) have something similar that you can feel and see flex when stepping on them. Plus they’re black painted and with in a year they are already rusted to hell. Mine are a way better quality, IMOP.

I have always installed Westin. Solid quality and bolts to frame. Some of the new cheaper steps that bolt to the pinch weld with light brackets have been found to be junk.

That might be the issue with the work Turds.

AMP power steps. They make extensions for lifted trucks. Pricey at about $1200 but they are hidden away and don't look so clunky like regular steps. Have been running them since 2014. Still get ohhhs and ahhhs from strangers and passengers when open the doors.

Yeah, others on the forum have bought the $69 eBay steps that bolt to the pinch weld and found them to flex and bend. It might have been you or one of the tech members who stated that "nothing should be bolted to the cab pinch weld that will cause the weld to flex"

I have also seen these on a few Rams, https://www.realtruck.com/ici-black...MIrZmFop3a3QIVj0sNCh0J7gyZEAQYAyABEgLRyfD_BwE

They look pretty stout. If I had to replace mine this is probably what I’d go with.

There are a few people on the forum that reported premature rusting with the ICI's.

I've got the Westin HDX Drop Steps and love them. Heading into my 3rd winter season with them and no rusting issues. I do get my truck Corrosion Free sprayed and make sure they get the back sides of the steps.

Another good looking step from Westin is the HDX Extreme Runnings Boards...a couple of guys on the forum have them as well.

I like both because they hug the body tight with no gap and resemble rock sliders.

I have Westin ProTraxx 4 chrome and I am very happy. 270lbs i can stand on them and there is no creaking or flex. The reason i went with Protraxx is that they don't have end caps. They are all welded up closed

I just got a pair of those 169 dollar 4 inch jobs off ebay, couldn't be happier. After 6 years they were janky looking, I just linex'd them, they look new. Perfectly bolted into factory bolts, easiest mod ever.

Ive put these on a few of my trucks in the past they are awesome. I want to get some for my ram but dont have the funds at the moment. The nice thing is they are fairly inexpensive and stop door dings. On my 4runner they stick out about 4" past the door.

The only thing with the star armor is they dont work with my body lift, im guessing because the supports don't line up. Has anyone put them on a body lifted truck before?
