So step-son traded his 2019 Ram 1500 for a 2020 Ford Explorer for his wife. They also traded her car too. It's nice but it is a Ford...lol. They picked it up Friday. Today he told me he is going to look at a 2020 F150 3.5 Ecoboost. I think the Ram salesman that sold him his last one actually drove him away from Ram. He had a 2015 1500 with 5.7 and 3.92s that he traded on the 2019. He wanted 3.92s but the salesman told him they weren't necessary for towing with the new 8 spd. So when he found out he only had 8200lb towing capacity and his camper fully loaded is about 8000lbs he was frustrated and disappointed and hated the truck from that point on. So today he tells me the 2020 F150 has a 3200lb payload and can tow 13,000lbs. ugh. So now he is only looking at max towing so he doesn't get screwed again. I did tell him a new Ram with 3.92s are hard to find now though. I warned him about the F150 and the Ecoboost but he seems like his mind is set now. Hard to believe he is a detective with this logic though...lol. Hopefully he changes his mind. He previously had a 2010, then the 2015 then the 2019. He liked the first 2 but hated this one because of the sales guy screwing him on the whole gear issue. I told him it was also his fault as he should have known better and researched more. BTW-he is leasing these vehicles, which I also told him he shouldn't be doing
